If you have cowbirds, it may be tempting to take their egg from a nest you have found. Cowbirds, if you don't already know, lay their eggs in another bird's nest, forcing the host mom to feed it. The mother doesn't know any better, she follows her instincts. But sometimes the cowbirds are bigger than the host baby birds and can hoard food--starving other nest babies. Birds hate them.
