LOST DOG!!You leave the front door open, a deer's grazing in the yard, munching on flowers, shaking off its ticks onto your property. The dog escapes, runs after the deer, blasting through the invisible fence because deers seem to mitigate invisible fence shock pain in dogs. There you are running down the street screaming--which makes the dog run faster. The dog veers into the woods and is gone. Dog is gone. What do you do? Why laugh? Why not just read the news, work, ponder your ultimate misery, read something serious and depressing but real or realistic? Why not plow on through life with a serious face, serious attitude, serious family, serious pets. (OK, that's impossible. What dog is serious? Cats, maybe, not dogs.) Well, because it's important to stay alive. And laughing, smiling, stepping into a light story that you know will be OK will keep you healthy. Your life may not be perfect. Your problems probably don't have happy endings. This may leave you without hope. But, look, if you can laugh, particularly at yourself, you will be able to conquer your world. "Oh, please what do you know?" you ask? And that's a good question. But here is another writer with scientific evidence. All animal lovers believe in scientific evidence. click pug picture for link to mental floss |
AuthorI like to write about people, animals, dogs. I enjoy ideas, good books about ideas, funny books about ideas, funny people who have ideas, advocates for people who don't have voices to express their ideas, and animals who have ideas we can't understand. Archives
